Educational
Programs
Our goal is to provide instruction for people who are either being
prepared for - or are already engaged in - the operation of nonprofit
organizations. This will require strong and relevant course content.
Instructional delivery must meet the varying needs of students both
on and off the campus, which will include distance learning methods
and short courses.
-
Core
Courses
A comprehensive
year-long course has been created which addresses the basic operational
issues encountered by non profit organizations of all sizes. Initially
offered as an on campus evening class, it will be adapted for off
campus instruction either for credit or short courses. This core course
can be augmented by courses offered locally by Iowa post-secondary
institutions.

Informational
Services
Our goal
is to make available information about the nonprofit sector through
a telephone hot line and website. This includes facilitating access
to relevant publications, websites, consultants, associations, and
courses available throughout Iowa and the region. Such a network approach
will provide greater resources for Iowa nonprofits to take advantage
of quickly in meeting specific needs.
