Start a Charitable Nonprofit Training Coming in September
INRC Director Richard Koontz will deliver a workshop on Starting
an Iowa Charitable Nonprofit on Saturday, September 19 at
the University Of Iowa College Of Law. The workshop will
be conducted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is limited to seven
participants. The cost is $50, payable in advance.
In this hands-on session, participants will review the documents
necessary to start a 501(c)(3) organization in Iowa: Articles
of Incorporation, IRS Form SS-4 to obtain EIN, drafting and
adopting bylaws, and IRS Form 1023 Application for Exemption.
